The Namibian Savannah, a vital ecosystem home to one of the world’s richest collections of wildlife and plant species, is under threat from human activity and climate change, including worsening droughts, wildfires, and desertification. The Farm Gai Kaisa Biochar Project addresses these challenges head-on by sustainably harvesting excessive encroaching bush to produce biochar.

This innovative approach not only helps restore the Savannah but also improves agricultural productivity. By applying biochar to soil, we enhance its health, boost crop yields, and build climate resilience—creating benefits that extend from the land to the communities who rely on it.

Our mission goes beyond the Savannah, with our goal of fighting climate change and fostering global equity at the core. Through carbon finance, we’re laying the foundation for scalable, impactful biochar projects in Namibia—delivering lasting environmental and social benefits.
